Court of Appeal Judges

The structure of the Court of Appeal is established under the Court of Appeal (Organization and Administration) Act, 2015, which stipulates that the Court shall comprise no fewer than twelve judges. The Judicature Act sets the maximum number of judges at seventy. This statutory framework ensures that the Court has the necessary judicial capacity to effectively manage its appellate caseload.

The President of the Court of Appeal is elected by the judges in accordance with Article 164(2) of the Constitution and serves for a non-renewable term of five years.
